Public Notice - Frenchville Approved Inspection Program

PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPROVED INSPECTION PROGRAM ROCKHAMPTON REGIONAL COUNCIL

Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 Section 113 and Local Government Act 2009 Section 134.

Survey Area: Property inspections will be conducted throughout part of the Rockhampton Regional Council area focusing on the locality of Frenchville.

Area Selection Criteria: The focus areas are a portion of Rockhampton Regional Council, being the locality of Frenchville, for which inspection by authorised persons is feasible within twelve weeks and are considered a high priority for monitoring compliance with the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008, Rockhampton Regional Council Local Law 1 (Administration) 2011 and Rockhampton Regional Council Local Law 2 (Animal Management) 2011.

Program Purpose: To monitor compliance with the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008, Rockhampton Regional Council Local Law 1 (Administration) 2011, and Rockhampton Regional Council Local Law 2 (Animal Management) 2011 in relation to the keeping of dogs.

Properties Inspected: Inspections will be conducted on all properties within the above stated area.

Commencement and Duration of Survey: This survey will commence on 6 July 2026 and will be in force for a period of twelve weeks expiring on 27 September 2026. Properties will be inspected from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Sunday.

A copy of the program may be purchased at the public offices of Rockhampton Regional Council until the end of the program.  The price of a copy of the program is $2. By resolution of Rockhampton Regional Council Meeting on 14 April 2026.
