PUBLIC NOTICE OF SURVEILLANCE PROGRAM FOR INVASIVE PLANTS AND ANIMALS ROCKHAMPTON REGIONAL COUNCIL
Biosecurity Act 2014
Program Purpose: The purpose of the Program is to:
- Monitor compliance with the requirements of the Biosecurity Act 2014.
- Confirm the presence and determine the extent of the presence of invasive biosecurity matter.
- Confirm the absence of invasive biosecurity matter.
- Monitor effects of measures taken in response to a biosecurity risk.
Program Area: The program will apply to the localities of Struck Oil, Johnsons Hill, Limestone, Nine Mile, Fletcher Creek, Walmul, Oakey Creek, Trotter Creek, Boulder Creek, Wura and parts of Bajool.
Commencement and Duration of Survey: This survey will commence on Monday 29 September 2025 and will be in force until Thursday 31 December 2026.
Availability and Price: A copy of the Biosecurity Program authorisation may be purchased at any of Rockhampton Regional Council’s Customer Service Centres: 232 Bolsover Street, Rockhampton City, 1 Ranger Street, Gracemere and 32 Hall Street, Mount Morgan. The price of a copy of the program is $3.00.
