Published on 04 October 2019
Get ready for the Riverside to come alive once again this month with a free and family-friendly line up of incredible events!
Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow said she is pleased to announce the Riverside Alive program for October.
“It is fantastic to see people enjoying the incredible revitalised Riverside Precinct and taking advantage of everything the Riverside Alive program has to offer,” said Mayor Strelow.
“This month we will once again hear the music of some of our local favourite bands and singers, including Maddy White and Earth to Josh. We’ll also hear from some new additions and special guests, including a blues, country and folk outfit from Western Australia.
“The ever popular Rivernites will take over the Precinct from 5pm on Friday 18 October, bringing markets, food stalls, and fun.
“As always there will also be some incredible acts to keep the kids entertained throughout the month, from the balloon twisting and bubble blowing fun brought by Mr Toot and the interactive farmyard ‘moosical’ Maggie Moo.
“And, on Thursday 24 October, bring your little ones along to the Cheeky Monkeys Soft Play Zone to watch them climb, roll, and slide all over this pop up jungle gym.
“Once again, Council’s Advance Rockhampton team has delivered an incredible program for residents and visitors to enjoy on the Riverside, so get out there and get the most out of your stunning Riverside!”
