Investment Prospectus Launch

Rockhampton Regional Council is pushing forward with its focus on jobs and economic growth through a new investment prospectus unveiled at Beef2024.

The prospectus which was developed by the region’s lead economic development agency, Advance Rockhampton, sets out the significant opportunities available in the Rockhampton Region and how industry and business can benefit from Rockhampton’s natural assets and infrastructure.

Through its air, road, rail, and sea connectors as well as significant community and urban infrastructure, Rockhampton stands as the strategic gateway to both Northern Australia and global markets.

Offering unparalleled access and opportunities, the new document highlights growth opportunities across new and emerging sectors, including food and beverage manufacturing, clean economy projects, critical minerals and defence manufacturing and supply.

This builds on the significant $12 billion project pipeline underway which will drive greater economic development and connectivity.

Rockhampton Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tony Williams, said that the message from this investment prospectus is clear – there’s no better place to invest than the Rockhampton Region.

“This Investment Prospectus showcases the Rockhampton Region to a global stage,” Mayor Williams said.

“Whether it’s our world class education institutions, our transport connections or investment-shaping infrastructure – we have the right mix of tools in place to facilitate real investment and growth in the coming decade.

“We know that we are in a race – a race for new jobs, new investment and new opportunities and we need to be on the front foot each and every day.

“I encourage everyone to have a look at this document and to reach out to Advance Rockhampton for a conversation about the great benefits and opportunities in our region.”

Advance Rockhampton’s Economic Development Manager, Wade Clark said on-hand support was available to all businesses, particularly those looking to grow or diversify.

“I encourage local businesses to share the Investment Prospectus with their colleagues. It’s a great demonstration of the wealth of opportunity and knowledge within our community,” Mr Clark said.

“The Advance Rockhampton team is always on hand to support investors in establishing business connections and providing advice, modelling and data.”

Advance Rockhampton is the economic development arm of Rockhampton Regional Council.

In its 2023 Budget, Council funded over $2 million in industry and economic development activities and initiatives, including the development of the Rockhampton Region Investment Prospectus.
