There’s set to be a splash of excitement at Mount Morgan’s brand new Aquatic Centre with the redeveloped facility reopening today!

The Mount Morgan community has eagerly awaited the $6.5 million upgrade since the old pool reached its end of life last year.

Now, the fully accessible complex comes complete with a new 25 metre, eight lane pool, kiosk, new amenities building and a fun wet play area for children.

The opening of the new Mount Morgan pool marks a significant milestone in enhancing recreation activities in the community, giving local families, and importantly, school children both a place for enjoyment and competition.

The Mount Morgan Pool will be operated by Splash-A-Bout Swim School and will be open:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 6am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm

Tuesday and Thursday: 3pm – 6pm

Weekends, Public Holidays and School Holidays: 9am – 5pm

A community Open Day is planned for Saturday 13 April with further information to be provided in coming weeks.

The Mount Morgan pool was jointly funded by Rockhampton Regional Council and the Queensland Government’s Resources Community Infrastructure Fund.
