Proposed amenities block

Calling all Bajool residents! A new amenities block is set to be installed in Bajool in 2020, and Council is inviting the community to help choose its location.

The Bajool amenities block will cost $140,000 to deliver, $80,000 of which is funded through Councillor Drew Wickerson’s Councillor Capital Fund.

“This new amenities block is something that members of the community have asked for, and it’s something we’re very happy to deliver,” said Cr Wickerson.

Chair of Council’s Community Services Committee Councillor Rose Swadling said Council has identified two locations that could work for the new toilet block.

“We’re looking at Mill Street beside the School of Arts, or the Bajool entrance at the corner of Ulam Street and High Street,” said Cr Swadling.

“We really want to hear from Bajool residents on your preferred location, so head over to our engagement website before December 22 to let us know where you think it should go.”

Head over to https://engage.rockhamptonregion.qld.gov.au/bajool-amenities-location and have your say before Sunday December 22.
