Fitzroy River Barrage and Ski Gardens update

Work to clear the debris from the Fitzroy River is progressing well, with Gate 3 of the Barrage now clear.

Crews are continuing works toward the southern embankment, to remove significant debris lodged upstream of the spillway openings.

More than 200 cubic metres of debris has been removed and is currently stockpiled at the Ski Gardens boat ramp.

The debris will be moved off site next week, to allow time for the material to dry.

The Ski Gardens car park on Ramsden Street, Wandal will remain closed during this time.

Further updates will be shared with the community, including the reopening of the Ski Gardens boat ramp and car park, in the coming week.
