Fitzroy River Barrage Update

Debris‑clearing works at the Barrage are tracking well.

The barge is now working on the final section on the southern bank and, if everything stays on schedule, barge‑based works should wrap up later today.

Some cleanup and preparation will still be needed before the barge can be disassembled and lifted out by crane early next week.

Crews will also need to assess the sealed car park area once the remaining material is removed and the surface is washed down, as repairs may be required before the car park is reopened to the public.
