Dragons v Cowboys Rocky tickets on sale tomorrow

Tickets for the National Rugby League (NRL) Telstra Premiership Round 24 match between the St George Illawarra Dragons and the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will go on sale at 9am on Tuesday, 24 August 2021.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said the Wests Tigers vs Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks game was a huge success, with the Round 24 match set to be even better.

“We have created history in our region with two NRL Premiership matches being held in Rockhampton within a week of each other,” Mayor Williams said.

“Having a high-profile NRL match between the Tigers and Sharks provided an incredible opportunity for the local community to embrace NRL in their own backyard.

“This Saturday’s match will be even better, with home-grown NRL heroes such as Jake Granville, and one of Queensland’s very own teams – the North Queensland Cowboys – coming to play at Browne Park.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting two NRL premiership matches in Rockhampton at our region’s premier rugby league ground.”

Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager Greg Bowden said Rockhampton is now on the radar as a viable destination to host future NRL premiership games.

“As we host one of Queensland’s very own NRL teams right here in Rockhampton, the North Queensland Cowboys, we expect the demand for this game to be even bigger than the Tigers vs Sharks game played on Saturday”, Mr Bowden said.

“These games will bring huge economic benefit to our region, with visitors and our local community spending money in region as part of their attendance at each game.”

The Round 24 match between the Dragons vs Cowboys will be held at Rockhampton’s Browne Park on Saturday, 28 August, kicking off at 3:00pm.

Tickets for the Round 24 game between the St George Illawarra Dragons and the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will go on sale at 9am on Tuesday, 24 August 2021.

Tickets will be available for purchase online only, through the Rockhampton Regional Council Facebook event titled ‘Round 24 NRL Premiership Dragons v Cowboys’.

Event capacity is 5,000 with General Admission tickets ranging from $33-$55 and Allocated Seating tickets starting from $80 per person.
