The city of Rockhampton will once again take centre stage for a revving-good time for lovers of horsepower, show cars, burnouts and the wildest modified cars in the country when Rare Spares Rockynats returns Easter long weekend 2022!
The 2022 event held 15-17 April, will showcase a weekend of high-octane automotive awesomeness with early bird tickets on sale Wednesday 1 December, just in time for Christmas gift shopping.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said after the success of the inaugural Rare Spares Rockynats, the anticipation of Rockynats 02 has been huge.
“General Admission, Gold and Platinum early bird tickets will be available until 31 December and will go on sale at 1pm on Wednesday 1 December and we are expecting unprecedented sales from locals, intrastate and interstate visitors,” Mayor Williams said.
Summernats co-owner Andy Lopez said the 2022 event is going to be bigger and better.
“The Australian automotive community really got behind Rockynats in our first year, with more than 40,000 fans and 1,500 cars and bikes hitting the streets of Rockhampton. We’ve already got 1,200 car entrants locked in for year two and we’ve still got five months to go! Elite cars, burnouts, street drags, and Australia’s biggest street parade – Rockynats is the place to be at Easter.”
Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager Greg Bowden is proud to be delivering another significant event for the Region.
“With our recent success at the 2021 Queensland Tourism Awards and the inaugural Rare Spares Rockynats being awarded silver in the ‘Festival and Events’ award category, this event is set to be a standout in the Queensland events calendar for 2022,” Mr Bowden said.
