Current and prospective suppliers are invited to attend Rockhampton Regional Council’s free Supplier Forum, on Thursday, 20 August at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre.

The hour-long sessions are at 7.30am and 3.30pm, with both covering the same content, so attendees only need to register for one.

The forum aims to support and develop local businesses by offering insights into Council’s procurement process.

Attendees can learn about tender procedures, documentation, and submissions, as well as upcoming tender opportunities and workplace health and safety requirements.

The event also provides an opportunity to speak directly with Council officers, including members of the Contracts and Tenders team and other key departments.

The format includes a presentation led by the Coordinator of Procurement and Logistics, followed by an informal chat where participants can ask questions and discuss topics of interest with Council representatives.

The free event is an excellent opportunity to engage with the Council and gain a better understanding of working together.
