On Tuesday 10 February, in response to the Rockhaven – Outcome of Community Consultation and Initial Site Planning report, Rockhampton Regional Council resolved to convene an urgent roundtable meeting with State and Federal Government representatives to discuss solutions to homelessness in the Region.

Mayor Williams moved the motion, and Council will now plan to meet with State and Federal representatives to explore community services, outreach and support options, potential amenities, and opportunities for innovative or fast‑tracked funding to deliver new safe and secure crisis accommodation, as well as social and affordable housing.
