Residents of Rockhampton Region will be visited by their councillors over the next two months as part of the Community Conversations campaign.
The events will be held throughout the Rockhampton Region during October and November, and will offer community members the chance to speak one on one with Rockhampton Regional Councillors and bring to light a range of ideas or concerns.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow says it’s vital to know what improvements residents want to see within their community and Community Conversation events are Council’s way of hearing it firsthand.
“Our Community Conversation meetings are always a great opportunity for residents to see what’s going on in their areas and the wider Region, and ask us questions that they feel are important and relevant to them,” Mayor Strelow said.
“We are seeking input from residents to ensure Council’s priorities reflect the needs and aspirations of those who live across our Region,” Mayor Strelow said.
Topics at previous meetings have included Streetscape plans, investment in parks, and employment opportunities.
