Riverside Alive November

The countdown to Christmas has well and truly begun, which means it’s time to enjoy some festive fun on the Riverside!

Acting Mayor Cherie Rutherford said Rockhampton Regional Council’s popular Riverside Alive program is rounding out the year with a great line up which will accompany a number of fantastic community events.

“This Friday visitors to the Riverside can get into the festive spirit with some jumbo games – including Connect 4, Ladder Ball and Noughts and Crosses – while listening to Jason and the Mick perform live.

“And, of course, this Saturday will see the Council supported Christmas Fair take over the CBD. Don’t miss the lighting of the Christmas tree outside Customs House at 7.45pm!

“Next Saturday you can keep the kids entertained with the Little Aussie Encounters interactive workshop in the morning, before catching some carols with a jazzy twist in the evening.

“On Friday 20 December Rivernites Christmas has your last minute gift needs covered with plenty of quality artisan creations, as well as live music, food and entertainment to keep any visitors entertained.

“And, on Saturday 28th December, you can kick back and relax on the banks of the Fitzroy as the always entertaining Bordaline perform live.

“However you’re celebrating this festive season, you can be sure there’ll be something on the Riverside to suit you.”
