Community Notice - Christmas Waste Service Changes

RRWR Christmas message

Rockhampton Regional Council wishes to advise that there will be a number of changes to waste services on Christmas Day. If your waste or recycling is usually collected on a Monday, please put your bins out on Christmas Eve.


  • Kerbside waste collections will be undertaken on Christmas Day, starting 30 minutes earlier at 5:00am
  • Kerbside recycling collections will be undertaken on Christmas Day, starting 30 minutes earlier at 5:00am
  • All Council waste management facilities (including all transfer stations & Lakes Creek Road landfill) will be closed on Christmas Day.
  • All kerbside collections and waste management facilities will return to normal operation from 26 December 2017.
