Advance Rockhampton is teaming up with Queensland AI Hub, Rockhampton’s SmartHub and the Capricornia Chamber of Commerce to kick start business innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Rockhampton region.

As part of the partnership, Advance Rockhampton will be hosting a specialised business innovation and AI event in Rockhampton with key panel speakers to discuss how emerging technologies can help Rockhampton businesses thrive.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said this is a great opportunity for local businesses to find out more about how digital technologies and artificial intelligence can help boost their business.

“Now more than ever customer demographics and behaviours, and digital technologies in business, are rapidly changing,” Mayor Williams said.

“For the Rockhampton region, this means that our local businesses need to adapt and innovate to keep up with their competitors and our constantly changing world.

“While this can be daunting, it also presents an opportunity for local businesses to find new and better ways to grow, including implementing digital technologies to assist with change.”

Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager Mr Greg Bowden said Council’s Economic Development team is excited and ready to support local businesses in taking small steps toward implementing innovative technologies in their business.

“Working smarter, not harder, is an age old concept for growing your business, and digital technologies and artificial intelligence are just some of the ways a business can grow well into the future and stay ahead of their competition,” Mr Bowden said.

“The Advance Rockhampton team are keen to show local businesses how they can innovate within their business, with tools such as artificial intelligence creating solutions to challenges that is relevant to all sectors and communities.

“I encourage all local businesses of the Rockhampton region to attend our industry event on 17 June to find out more about how they can implement digital technologies and innovate within their business.”

Advance Rockhampton’s Business Innovation and Artificial Intelligence event will bring local Rockhampton region businesses together with key players in the business innovation and AI industries across Queensland.
