With some parts of the Rockhampton Region experiencing good rainfall recently, residents are being urged to check their properties for potential mosquito breeding hotspots.
Planning and Regulation Councillor Ellen Smith said some species of mosquito have the potential to carry disease including Ross River, Dengue Fever and Barmah Forrest Fever, and it’s important to be vigilant to minimise breeding where we can.
