7Rocky River Run Road Closures 2023

The 2023 7Rocky River Run to be held on Sunday 21st May from 6:15am-10:00am attracts more than 2,000 participants and has become a great drawcard for Rockhampton.

For the safety of the community, entrants and event organisers, a number of road closures (with traffic detours) will be in place between 4.00am Sunday 21st May and 11.00am Sunday 21st May 2023.

CBD & Southside

Quay Street - Fitzroy Street to William Street (closed 4:00am to 5:00am only)
Quay Street - Fitzroy Street to 342 Quay Street
William Street - Quay Street to East Street
East Street - William Street to Fitzroy Street (half road closed)
Quay Lane - Local Traffic Only
Hall Street - Graeme Acton Way to Huish Drive
Lion Creek Road - New Exhibition Road to Hall Street - Local Traffic Only
Exhibition Road - Wandal Road to Graeme Acton Way
Graeme Acton Way - Bolsover Street to Hall Street
North Street - At Quay Lane intersection
Cambridge Street - At Victoria Parade intersection
Archer Street - At Victoria Parade intersection
Fitzroy Street - At Victoria Parade intersection – limited access to Quay Lane, Local Traffic Only
Victoria Parade - Fitzroy Street to North Street

NOTE: FITZROY BRIDGE WILL REMAIN OPEN AT ALL TIMES

Northside

Reaney Street - Bridge Street to Sports Fields
Goodsall Street - 6 Goodsall Street to Reaney Street - Local Traffic Only
Northside boat ramp and carpark - Access to the boat ramp & carpark will be temporarily closed between 5am and 10am, Sunday 21/5/23

EMERGENCY SERVICES WILL HAVE 24/7 ACCESS DURING ROAD CLOSURES AND CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS.

Traffic Management will be in place to ensure businesses and residents can access their property and Council apologises for any inconvenience caused. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution and observe all signs and traffic directions.
