Explore airbrushing and animal artistry in this fun and fearless one-day workshop with artist Marion Hughes. Discover the techniques involved in creating a vibrant, realistic animal painting. Bring along a photo of your favourite wildlife, bird or pet and bring your subject to life.
During the workshop, you will explore gouache, watercolours and airbrushing. Experiment with airbrushing to create a background that provides the depth of field feel that you get when looking at a photograph. Techniques used in this workshop will suit the individual who wants to learn a technique which is very forgiving, a style of watercolour that can be adjusted, a no-fear way of painting that gives results.
You will have the opportunity to create two artworks on matt boards during the workshop.
All materials are provided, however, participants are welcome to bring their own gessoed matt boards, watercolours and/or an image of their favourite animal subject.
Please bring your own lunch.

About the Tutor
Marion Hughes is a Central Queensland artist who has painted predominantly in watercolour for the past 30 years. She loves teaching and sharing her knowledge with others, and enjoys seeing her students achieve what they initially think is beyond them.
Marion enjoys the process of a workshop as much as her students. This workshop is particularly exciting for her as everyone gets into the spirit of the subject and gets fantastic results.
