School's Out Art Mash-Up: Pottery Dinosaurs for 6 to 10-year-olds
Next date: Tuesday, 24 September 2019 | 10:00 AM
to 12:00 PM
Children are naturally creative, but as they get older and more focused on schoolwork and exams, they have less opportunity to get messy, get inventive, or express themselves through art.
Our two-hour School's Out Art Mash-Ups will give them the perfect break from homework and allow them to have fun by experimenting with painting on canvas and letting their imaginations run wild. There is something to suit every inquisitive and creative mind.
Young artists and dinosaur fans will delight in creating their own pottery dinosaur. Will it be a tall Diplodocus, a long Brontosaurus, a flying Pterodactyl ....or perhaps a scary Tyrannosaurus Rex? The possibilities are endless!
Participants will experiment with moulding the clay and using different tools to pattern, shape and form the clay into the dinosaur or dinosaurs of their choosing.
The pieces will be fired with a clear glaze by the artist educator and returned for collection after firing, ensuring that they last a lifetime.
