KAGI: Collection of British Prints
2 November 2019 - 16 February 2020
The Douglas Kagi Gift acknowledges one of the most important donations ever made to the Rockhampton Art Gallery. In 2008, the Melbourne scientist and art collector Dr Douglas Kagi donated 157 modern British prints, a marvellous gesture which has enabled the Gallery to present regular thematic print exhibitions and further develop its international collection.
For the first time in 10 years, KAGI will be displayed at Rockhampton Art Gallery, forming part of the 'Inside Out' exhibition series, which seeks to showcase artworks not ordinarily available for public view. This behind the scenes look at our collection of over two thousand artworks will see visitors immersed in the day-to-day functioning of the Gallery, as the team prepare for the New Rockhampton Art Gallery building.
