Moving Around: Moving images from Rockhampton Art Gallery Collection
23 June 2018 – 19 August 2018
Moving Around: moving images from Rockhampton Art Gallery Collection vividly brings to life a selection of compelling works from Rockhampton Art Gallery’s new media collection. The Gallery’s growing moving image collection captures both contemporary art and its practitioner’s response to this ever developing digital medium.
Rockhampton Art Gallery first expanded the collection to introduce video art in 2004 with the work titled Inertia 1998 by Iwasaki Masashi. While Rockhampton Art Gallery is widely renowned and highly regarded for its collection of paintings, Moving Around: moving images from Rockhampton Art Gallery Collection, seeks to showcase the collection’s broader diversity.
Where: Rockhampton Art Gallery, Anderson Room
