Access the Takeaway Library

What is a takeaway library?

With the lifting of some COVID-19 community restrictions Rockhampton Regional Council has chosen to open the Mount Morgan and Southside Library branches for takeaway services only

Takeaway services allow you to reserve items in the comfort of your home. The library team will call you when your items are ready to collect. For more details click here.

Our priority is the health and safety of the community and we thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.

How do I reserve an item for takeaway?

You can call 4936 8043 or complete the online request form here.

Library staff will select items and phone you with a pick-up time. Collection will be contactless from your preferred library - either Mount Morgan or Southside Library, Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm.

How many items can I borrow?

Borrowing limits are 20 items per member for a 6 week loan period which can include up to 5 DVDs. You can also place up to 10 holds online through the online catalogue.

How do I return my items?

All return chutes are currently open. Please do not return items if you or someone in your household has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19.
