As a safety precaution in response to COVID-19 Rockhampton Regional Council has decided to close all public access to libraries.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding at this time. Our priority is for the health and safety of the community and urge everyone to look out for friends and family in the following weeks and months ahead.
For more information on COVID-19, please visit Queensland Health.
How many items can I loan before you close?
Loan quantities have been increased from 20 to 40 items with a 6 week loan period.
Can I get a loan extension?
There is no need to contact the library to extend loans. Items on loan, and not due before March 2020, will be automatically renewed until after libraries re-open. No fines will be charged during the closure period.
How do I return my items?
Return chutes at Gracemere, Northside and Southside Libraries will remain open. Please do not return items during the closure period if you or someone in your household has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. Further information regarding the return of library items will be available when libraries re-open.
What services can I access from home?
A number of free online services can be accessed with your library card and PIN. Online services include Borrowbox, Beamafilm, Kanopy, RBdigital, Storybox Library, Lynda.com and Haynes Manuals. Contact the Library by calling 07 4936 8265 if you do not know your PIN.
We thank you for your patience during this time and look forward to welcoming you back into our libraries.
