Derby Street, Allenstown (Kent Street and Denison Street) - Roadworks

Roadworks have commenced in Derby Street, Rockhampton at the intersection of Kent Street and Denison Street. These works are estimated to take approximately nine (9) months to complete, subject to weather and ground conditions. Works will be carried out in two stages:

• Stage 1 - Kent Street Roundabout

• Stage 2 - Denison Street Traffic Calming

Council requests that drivers exercise caution and obey all signage whilst the works are being undertaken.

Partial road closures will be in place throughout the beginning of Stage 1 works. A full road closure of the Kent Street and Derby Street intersection will be implemented for approximately six (6) weeks from 16 September to allow the reconstruction of the intersection.

Detour routes will be marked and access to properties within the closed area will be available, through traffic will be encouraged to travel around the wider construction area.
