REDcycle for soft plastics

Soft plastics are not recyclable in the yellow lid wheelie bin.
The REDcycle Program is the only way to keep plastic bags and soft plastic packaging out of landfill.

do the SCRUNCH test!

If it's soft plastic and CAN be scrunched, it can be placed in a REDcycle drop off bin.
If it's not plastic or it's hard moulded plastic that CAN'T be scrunched, it cannot be recycled via REDcycle.

How to REDcycle

Collect your soft plastics at home or school or at work in a separate bin - make sure they are dry and empty.
Make a roster to have someone take the collected soft plastics to the nearest REDcycle collection bin - any Coles or Woolworths store will have one near the checkout.

What happens to my returned soft plastics?

The collected plastic is returned to RED Group's facility for initial processing, then delivered to Victorian manufacturer Replaswhere it undergoes transformation.
Replas uses the material as the resource to produce a huge range of recycled-plastic products, from fitness circuits to sturdy outdoor furniture, bollards and signage.
Recycled plastic furniture from Replas can be purchased at any time, view the range.
