Contractor and Maintenance Information
Airport Facilities are responsible for maintaining a diverse array of airport assets and facilities. Examples include buildings, gardens, fences, car parks, security systems, electrical, communications, air conditioning and hydraulic services.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Tenants and staff within the airport precinct are requested to complete a Rockhampton Airport Maintenance/Cleaning Request Form(PDF, 192KB) should they notice anything broken or damaged.
Contractors wanting to conduct night works at the airport are required to complete a Rockhampton Airport Night Works Application Form(PDF, 278KB) .
A Hot Works Permit(PDF, 47KB) is required before any hot work such as welding or grinding is performed within the airport precinct.
Contractors performing work at the airport must arrange a suitable time with Airport Facilities before arriving on-site and must sign-in at Airport Reception before undertaking any works at the Airport.
All contractors and subcontractors engaged by Rockhampton Airport must comply with the Rockhampton Aerodrome Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP).(PDF, 2MB)
To park in the contractors car park you will require a permit which you can arrange whilst signing-in at reception. The permit must be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle. An infringement notice with a $235.00 penalty will be issued for those vehicles not displaying a permit.
All contractors without an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) wishing to enter airside or restricted security areas must obtain a VIC (Visitor Identification Card) from Airport Reception. All contractors must be accompanied by an ASIC holder. You must arrange who your escort will be prior to your visit. Photo identification is required for the issue of VIC passes and can be one of the following:
- Medicare Card plus credit card (both required)
Please ensure you bring your photo identification with you, unfortunately due to strict regulations we are unable to issue a visitor pass without it.
