Mount Archer Upgrade Works

Council is underway with final works to refine Mount Archer’s newly redeveloped Fraser Park.

The works include:

New amenities
Council is constructing a new accessible amenities.  The structure will feature three unisex cubicles, where one cubicle will be wheelchair accessible with a baby change station.  The existing amenities will remain open during the construction period.
Funding: Communities Development Grant

Lighting installation
Pathway lighting is being installed (western side only) up to and through the treetop canopy walk.  The lighting installation project includes an upgrade to the low voltage power supply and the installation of lighting along the pathway circuit including up to and through the elevated treetop canopy walk.  It will also include the installation of ambient lighting to the amphitheater area.  To minimise impact the works have been carefully divided into sections to allow visitors to access partial sections of the circuit pathway throughout the construction period.

Funding: The works are co-funded funded by Regional Jobs and Investment Packages and Rockhampton Regional Council

Car park renewal
The renewal works includes the installation of new bollards, reseal of the existing car park and application of new line marking.
