Sustainability in Action - Up close with waterbugs @ Southside Library

2020 Living Sustainably - Caring for catchments

Did you know that the Rockhampton Region has over 407 km2 of wetlands, creeks and river systems?

Bring the kids along to get up close with water bugs and find out how they are a great indicator of waterway health. Proudly brought to you in partnership with Fitzroy Partnerships for River Health, find out more about our local catchment and the native species that call our waterways home.

There are lots of ways your household can minimise any negative flow on effects from your home to help keep our natural waterways healthy. You'll take home practical household tips to help you live more sustainably!

Living sustainably comes down to daily habits and choices you make, both big and small, that can have a huge environmental impact. During the year, be inspired with a range of hands-on workshops at Rockhampton Libraries.

Workshops are free, but bookings are essential. To book phone Rockhampton Regional Libraries on 4936 8043.
