National Garage Sale Trail

Garage Sale Trail new dates

Garage Sale Trail is a free national event and is coming to the Rockhampton region on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2020.

Garage Sale Trail is one of a number of council initiatives designed to reduce waste to landfill and provide the community with ways to dispose of unwanted items responsibly.

Households, schools, community groups and local businesses are all invited to host a garage sale or shop the Trail. You don’t need to have a garage, just set up in your front yard or join in online. Register your stall or pre-plan your shopping route: www.garagesaletrail.com.au

With garage sales happening both online and in person, Garage Sale Trail 2020 will bring you new, safe and fun ways to join the Trail and be part of the country’s biggest weekend of money making, planet-saving and treasure-hunting fun.

How does it work?  Residents interested in organising and hosting a sale on the weekend can register their interest now at www.garagesaletrail.com.au. You’ll be notified when registrations open in September and be invited to list your garage sale event on the national website. You’ll also get access to handy resources, tips and guides to make your sale safe and successful, all provided for free.

What does it cost?  The support of Rockhampton Regional Waste and Recycling makes the event free for residents.

Is it safe to have a garage sale? Yes, it is!  Being involved as a part of the Garage Sale Trail means you’ll get tips and support to make your sale contactless and COVID-safe.
