"Everyone's Business" (RLT Production)
“Everyone’s Business”, written by Chris Atanasov-Elliott, is an intense drama, with many comedic elements, in which a series of interconnected people talk about the same ill-fated person whom they have known at different times in his life.
They each openly voice their personal opinions, recollections and judgements, meanwhile spotlighting prominent issues in society—suicide, sexuality, drugs, foster care and religion. It reveals how injustice and tragedy can result from other people’s ignorance and selfish actions.
This is no ordinary play! Transition videos between acts fill in the gaps and show the audience what has occurred over time beyond that which is portrayed on stage.
These use a variety of media without dialogue, including a photograph slideshow, stop-motion animation, go-pro capture, comic strip and shadow puppetry, aiming to produce a visually emotive film that builds upon the play’s narrative. (Rated M)
