Rockhampton welcomes back Australia's only two-storey carousel as part of Beef Australia attractions in the CBD by Advance Rockhampton.

Arriving in more than ten thousand pieces, the carousel will bring the ultimate whimsical experience for children and adults alike.

Advance Rockhampton Manager Tourism, Events and Marketing, Annette Pearce said the carousel adds to the growing list of unique attractions that will be popping up in our CBD 1-8 May.

“Beef Week brings with it thousands of visitors to the Rockhampton Region and we want to use this opportunity to showcase our beautiful Riverside Precinct with art pop-ups and activations,” Ms Pearce said.

"The 61 year old Italian Venetian Royal Double Decker Carousel features horses and swing seats in the upstairs level, as well as teacups on the ground level and will be set up in Alf Kele Memorial Park on Sir Raymond Huish Drive from midday on Saturday 1 May.

“Chalk art will adorn our riverside pathways with 3D optical illusions, neon cows will light up the amphitheatre and art installations will be featured between the Showgrounds Precinct and Quay Street.”

“It’s going to be a fantastic week for locals and visitors alike. We encourage attendees to take the time explore our city and enjoy all the great attractions our Region has to offer.”

Beef Australia runs 2-8 May at the Rockhampton Showgrounds with tickets on sale at www.beefaustralia.com.au
