Are you a small business looking to build your online presence and compete in a digital world? Then make sure you sign up for the next round of low cost online workshops from Rockhampton Regional Council and Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS).

Advance Rockhampton, Council’s Economic Development, Tourism and Events arm, has teamed up with ASBAS to deliver a webinar series aimed at local businesses who would like to sharpen up their digital marketing skills.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow said the low cost, high quality workshops had the potential to really help local businesses compete.

“Digital marketing can seem like a really overwhelming thing sometimes,” said Mayor Strelow.

“There’s all sorts of buzzwords and terms floating around, and it can feel confusing for those who aren’t as familiar with promoting their business online.

“But COVID-19 has made it even more important for businesses to be as comfortable making videos and running their facebook pages as they are in their bricks and mortar shop.

“There are sessions on facebook advertising, making video content on a shoestring budget, and using website tools to sell.

“The first session (The Basics of Facebook Advertising) happened last night and was fantastic. The next workshop is about video content and will take place on Wednesday 26 August.

“The webinars are running until December – sign up to secure your spot today.”
