Show us your best ‘Super Show Special’!

Rockhampton Regional Council is calling the local business community to share their Rocky Show spirit with a Super Show Special!
Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow said she would love to see as many businesses as possible getting involved in creating their own Super Show Specials.
“As the Rocky Show rebuilds, we are incredibly grateful to everyone in the business community who has already thrown their support behind this great event,” said Mayor Strelow.
“Show time attracts our broader regional community to town. It’s a great time to visit Rockhampton and it’s in our interest for us to make sure that they take the opportunity to shop while they are here.”
“I know there are many business owners in the Rockhampton Region who are passionate about the Show, and that together we can really create a buzz that will benefit everyone involved.
“We are inviting any business in the Rockhampton Region to get involved by hosting a Super Show Special, which can be as big or as small as you would like.
“You could have a Super Show sale, incorporate ‘the wood chop’ into your June personal training sessions, or offer a special on locally produced beef. Really anything that adds to excitement of the show.
Local business Ian Weigh Toyota has already backed the idea and are planning to dress up their showroom bull, Cruiser, to help share the excitement of the Show.
“We are Cruising toward the Rockhampton Show,” said General Manager Helen Vass, “so dressing up Cruiser seems like the perfect way to help promote the event!”
The Rockhampton Agricultural Show will run from 12 to 14 June, and businesses are encouraged to run their Super Show Special during the month or week of the event.
“Whatever you do – whether you’re a personal trainer, a butcher, or a hairdresser – we would love to see you share your Show spirit with a Super Show Special,” said Mayor Strelow.
“We are very excited to see what our local businesses will offer!”
