Go Galilee Basin!

People across the Rockhampton Region are encouraged to come together tomorrow, Friday 24 May, to send a clear message that the regions of Queensland deserve their fair share.

The event is to show support for the resources sector, Adani’s Carmichael Mine project and the opening up of the Galilee Basin generally. It is also a call to the State Government, reminding them of the vital contributions made by regional Queensland and demanding a fairer future. 

11am to 11.30am – Truck Convoy – Fitzroy Bridge

Trucks and plant equipment will drive across the Old Bridge to show their support and we invite everyone to join us on the pavement with signs and t-shirts.

11.30am to 12pm – Media Event – Rod Laver Plaza

Join us on the Riverside for a media event and enjoy some cake. Remember, regional Queensland deserves a bigger slice!

High Noon to 12.30pm – Rally and speeches – Rod Laver Plaza

Join local businesses, politicians, and other members of the community to recognise the contribution of regional Queensland and show the media and the rest of Queensland our passion. Be one of the first to sign the petition that will go to the Queensland Government calling for action on a fairer future for regional Queensland.
