Countdown is on for Mayor’s Carols by Candlelight 2022
It’s almost time for Rockhampton Regional Council’s much loved Christmas event, Mayor’s Carols by Candlelight.
A company of singers, dancers and musicians have been working hard in recent weeks rehearsing a variety of Christmas songs and carols and, of course, there will be plenty of opportunity to sing along.
Two concerts are scheduled; the first on Wednesday 7 December at the Pilbeam Theatre and the second at the Rockhampton Music Bowl on Saturday 10 December.
Mayor Tony Williams encouraged people to attend the event.
“Rockhampton Regional Council is very proud to produce this event for the community,” he said.
“Not only does Mayors Carols by Candlelight have a wonderful atmosphere enabling families and friends to come together and enjoy the festive spirit, but it also helps a local charity,” Mayor Williams said.
This year, Headspace Rockhampton is the charity recipient.
Donations at the Music Bowl Concert and proceeds from tickets sales at the Pilbeam Theatre concert will go towards Headspace Rockhampton’s essential services to Central Queensland young people aged 12 to 25 years.
The Pilbeam Theatre concert will be staged on Wednesday 7 December at 7pm. Tickets, at $12 for adults and $8 for concessions are now on sale at www.seeitlive.com.au.
The Music Bowl concert will be held on Saturday 10 December at 7pm with gates opening at 5pm. Entry is by donation.
For the Music Bowl performance audiences are asked to:
- Follow directional signage for parking and foot traffic.
- Limited parking is available at the Music Bowl but additional parking is available at Central Queensland University (enter via College Rd), with shuttle buses taking patrons to and from the Music Bowl. MORE INFORMATION: www.seeitlive.com.au/CarolsMB2022
