Rockhampton Regional Council has today announced that it has secured Buddy’s Fire as Official Burnout Precinct Partner for the inaugural Rare Spares Rockynats event.

Buddy’s Fire, is a Rockhampton based family owned and operated business that provides cost effective professional fire protection and prevention services to the Central Queensland community.

Buddy’s Fire Director Aaron Hearn said it is really exciting to come on board as the Official Burnout Precinct Partner at what will be Australia’s biggest car festival of 2021.

“Rockynats is an official qualifying event in the National Burnout Masters Series which is the world’s toughest and most brutal burnout competition,” said Mr Hearn.

“This high octane, adrenaline charged series culminates at Australia's biggest horsepower party, the Street Machine SUMMERNATS.

“Sponsoring significant local events like this not only gives us an opportunity to reach a large target market, it’s also a chance to give back to those people who support our business.”

To date, over 1000 cars and bikes have registered to take part in the event and over 6000 tickets sold, with patrons securing their spot for Easter Weekend.

Rockhampton Region Acting Mayor Neil Fisher said the interest in the Rare Spares Rockynats has been outstanding and the economic benefits to our community will be felt threefold.

“What would normally be a quiet period for the region with many locals travelling away for Easter will instead see more people coming to visit and stay for Rockynats as well a great reason for locals to stay at home and enjoy the event with family and friends.

Advance Rockhampton’s Manager of Tourism and Events Annette Pearce said “With over 80% of ticket sales to date from people outside the region, local accommodation and caravan sites report they have been filling fast and we have now released camping options for both entrants and spectators to ensure everyone has somewhere to stay.”

“Thanks to the community’s overwhelming support and the interest from motor enthusiasts, we can offer a great platform for sponsors such as Buddy’s Fire to showcase their business.

Rockynats will be held Easter Weekend 2- 5 April 2021 for tickets and further information on sponsorship opportunities go to rockynats.com.au.
