Wild Dogs - Residents be aware

Published on 01 September 2015

Rockhampton Regional Council is advising residents to be aware of wild dogs in the Frenchville area adjacent to Mount Archer.

Chair of Council’s Health and Compliance Committee Councillor Ellen Smith said a number of residents had spotted wild dogs in the past months.

“We’ve had one official report of a wild dog, but other residents have mentioned sightings,” Cr Smith said.

“We’re encouraging residents to give Council a call if they see wild dogs, and please do not approach them.

“We also don’t want residents feeding any wild dogs, and it’s helpful not to leave food lying around as this could attract them too.”
