Rockhampton Whole of Region Plan

With a vision for our Region to become the most liveable community in the world, Rockhampton Regional Council is committed to supporting the local needs of the people who live, work and play in this region – now and into the future.

To do this, Council has committed significant resources to developing a Whole of Region Plan to guide our infrastructure, social and environmental needs into the future.

Council is engaging with the community as part of this Whole of Region Plan, receiving your feedback on what you believe is important for your future.

The survey Council sent to all households in November 2009 is one of many activities that we will undertake in the coming year to better understand our communities, the people who make up those communities, and the values and priorities that are considered most important.

The information you provided to us in the survey will be used to assist in the development of planning documents for Council. In particular, it will enhance the framework used to develop the Community Plan and the feedback will also be considered during the development of the Whole of Region Plan.

From March 2010, Council will be undertaking significant community engagement for the formulation of our inaugural Community Plan.
