Fees and Charges
Waste & Recycling now services and manages the waste of a large population within an extensive land area. Due to this, Waste & Recycling is legislatively required to operate as a commercial business which means that the costs involved with servicing and managing the region’s waste must be recovered. As such, Waste & Recycling reviewed its fees & charges to reflect the true cost of disposing of waste. Council also took this opportunity to standardise fees & charges across the region to ensure consistency in charging for customers of our Waste Management Facilities.
The new adopted fees for the region’s Waste management Facilities will take effect as of 31 August 2009.
