Registration of Animals

Your current dog registration remains valid until August 31. We will send you a notice when it's due for renewal. The same applies for all other animal permits.

There are substantial discounts on registration charges for pensioners and also de-sexed animals.

Rockhampton Regional Council requires dogs residing in the region to be registered however, some areas in the region are presently exempt.  Please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre for details on your areas registration requirements.

If you intend to desex your dog but at present are unable to do so due to its age, you must register your dog as an entire dog, paying the required fee for the current registration period. If during the same registration period you supply a copy of veterinary desexing certificate(s) accompanied by a written request for a refund, you will be provided a pro rata refund for the current registration period only.

For more information contact Councils Customer Service Centre on 1300 22 55 77 or for more information about Council's fees and charges please click here.
