Rockhampton Regional Council provides bikeways, using funds allocated in the Capital Works Program, along with State Government funding.

These bikeways may be special markings on roadways, combined footpath bikeways, or separate bikeways adjacent to roads and schools eg. Norman Road and Moores Creek Road in North Rockhampton.

For safety, the Kershaw Gardens, Botanic Gardens, Rockhampton's City Heart Mall, and most parks are "bike free" zones.
