Step back in time at this friendly township museum showcasing the rich, colourful history of the Rockhampton district 1850 - 1950.

Throughout your visit at the Rockhampton Heritage Village you will see vintage vehicles, a hall of clocks, timber cutters camp, a blacksmith shop, homesteads and cottages, vintage machinery and a range of friendly farm animals.

Australian Shearing Shed

Experience the charm or yesteryear with the modern facilities you expect in a reception venue. Situated at the Heritage Village, this huge building is built in the style of a woolshed and is a popular venue for hosting large conferences, functions, wedding receptions, graduations and formal dinners.

The Shed seats up to 350 comfortably or 500 theatre style and is licensed with a fully equipped bar. Tailor made menus and other function packages are available to suit a variety of tastes, styles and budgets. The stage is well positioned to accommodate guest speakers, bands and D.J's, with a sound system and lectern available.

We also have plenty of off-street parking and disabled access. Tours of the Shed by appointment only.
