Application/Approval for Controlled Burning within a Council Controlled Road Reserve

Road Reserve Works Permit

This application is to obtain permits for works on Council road reserves. It covers the following permits:

Vehicle Crossing Construction (urban/rural driveways).
Property Stormwater Drainage (discharge stormwater into Council's stormwater system).
Erection or Installation of a Structure (retaining walls, steps, buildings, grids, fencing and barricading). For partial road or footpath closures please also contact the Queensland Police Service.
Private Water Pipes (rural areas).
Undergrounding of Power.
Clearing of Vegetation (in rural areas, along fence lines or under powerlines). For urban areas please also contact Council's Parks and Garden Section on 1300 22 55 77.
Major Development Works - not requiring a development permit for Operational Works under the Sustainable Planning Act (SPA) i.e roadworks, sewerage, water supply, stormwater.

Impounded Vehicle Release Form

Applicants may use this form to apply to have an impounded vehicle released from Rockhampton Regional Council's appointed storage/auction compound.
Please submit the completed application either by email, post or in person to any of the Council's Customer Service locations.

A Council Officer will assess the application and respond within 48 hours from the date of lodgement, for any other questions please contact Council's Infrastructure and Planning Department on 1300 22 55 77.

Excess Mass and Excess Dimension Traffic

This application is to be submitted for any vehicle which requires an approval from the Local Government under a Heavy Vehicle Guideline to traverse a Local Government road within the Rockhampton Regional Council area.

Please submit the completed application either by email, post or in person to any of Council's Customer Service locations with the appropriate fee. Fees can be found on Council's Website under the Fees and Charges Schedule for the relevant Financial Year.
