Gear Up Rocky

“Gear Up Rocky” is an important economic initiative that Council is implementing to prepare and partner with our local business community to take advantage of the economic opportunities following the historic announcement from Adani of the official start of its Carmichael mine and rail project.

Being prepared is the key to success and Council urge's all local businesses to take action now to secure the benefits of this multi-billion dollar project that promises to generate economic growth and thousands of direct and indirect jobs throughout regional Queensland.

Some businesses deal extensively with the resources sector and we are keen to continue to work with them to encourage and achieve their ongoing success. Council understands however that there are many within our business community who do not have such experience, or those that may not know how best to tap into the available opportunities.

There are many hoops to go through to secure contracts and the resulting benefits from such a significant project.  Council will therefore be establishing a variety of initiatives to assist you on this journey including:

  1. One-on-one support;

  2. Group training sessions; and

  3. Assistance in effectively using Adani’s preferred tendering platform, ICN Gateway (see below for further information.)

The first step to “Gear Up Rocky” is for Council to be able to identify, target and shape the specific support or training that will ensure our local businesses succeed.

To assist with this if you have a business please take a few minutes to complete the online survey or copy and paste this URL and press enter: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/adanicarmichaelmine

Survey closes on Friday, 7 July 2017.
