Planned Road Closures
If Council is required to close a road to carry out repairs to a section of road, this closure is advertised via Public Notices in the local newspapers, on this website, and may also be advertised on local radio stations.

Council will also provide and erect signage for road closures at the site. If a road closure is required for an event such as a public celebration or street parade please see below:

If the event is on a State controlled Road please contact Queensland Police to temporarily close the road.

If it is a Council Controlled Road please contact Roads and Infrastructure to temporarily close the road.

If you are vending on the road/footpath or its a temporary entertainment venue you also need to contact Community Compliance for a permit.

If you are selling food at the event you also need to contact Environment & Public Health for a temporary licence.
