Rockhampton Regional Council is proposing to purchase part of a Community Reserve which is currently dedicated to the purpose of 'Public Hall' at Morgan Street, Mount Morgan (Lot 199 on Crown Plan RN1384). The Mount Morgan School of Arts building currently occupies this Reserve.

Purchase of this site will result in that part of the Community Reserve being cancelled and transferred to Freehold.  This transfer is necessary to ensure Council's planned development of the new library and customer service centre, which will adjoin the existing School of Arts building, can be progressed.
