Are you a lover of reading? Library Lovers’ Day is coming up on February 14, and locals are invited to drop in and check out the great range of resources and services on offer on this day, and throughout the year.

On 14 February 2012, the National Year of Reading with be launched nationally. Make a date in your calendar to visit the Rockhampton Regional Library on Tuesday 14 February from 6pm-7.30pm for the special launch of the National Year of Reading’s Love2read initiative.

An exciting line up of events are planned to celebrate the National Year of Reading, including performances by members of the Rockhampton Youth Orchestra, a PJ storytime for littlies, Love2read ‘petal power’ flower-making workshops, and a Readit! Trivia competitions, and ‘Random Reads’ throughout the library. A grand lucky draw of the Amazing READing Race competition conducted through The Morning Bulletin will also feature, as well as lucky door prizes.
