Rockhampton Regional Council received $4.7 million funding from the State and Federal Government under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangement (NDRRA) to carry out the required remediation works for Pilbeam Drive.
Pilbeam Drive requires major remediation works to repair faults and the two main landslip areas significantly damaged by Tropical Cyclone Marcia. As the works will require the use of major earth work machinery, Pilbeam Drive will be accessible by local traffic only for the period of the works. Recreational visitors to Mount Archer and users of Pilbeam Drive for fitness purposes are encouraged to use the First Turkey Walking Trail or the variety of other walking trails throughout the Region for the period of works.
