Access and Equity
Council has a goal of providing a safe, caring and healthy community that we can all belong to. It is committed to fostering an inclusive community, providing a range of services and working towards ensuring it's facilities all for access by all.
To assist with identifying barriers to access and equity Council facilitates a community reference group which meets quarterly to identify issues of concern and make recommendations for Council consideration.
Residents may however raise any concerns at any time through Council's Customer Service Centres.
Services Council provides include:
Library services which provide free access and membership for all ages and abilities. Libraries also offer free computer access, as well as a range of resources specifically catering for people with a disability, sight impairment, literacy or language development issues, or learning English as a second language or who are housebound.
